In the heart of Alwoodley, we successfully managed the transformation of a residential garden into a magnificent outdoor leisure space designed specifically for a footballer. This project required exceptional management skills and meticulous logistics, as we navigated the complexities of running a landscaping site within a residential area while adhering to a tight timeline for our demanding client.

Our challenge began with a garden that was intricately ornamental, featuring a variety of shrubs, trees, and garden beds set on a sloped gradient. The client’s vision was clear: they desired a flat, tabletop-level football pitch. With no Tree Preservation Orders (TPO) hindering our progress, we swiftly removed the existing vegetation, making way for the new design while carefully replanting a selection of firs for added security and privacy.

The project involved extensive groundwork, including the installation of retaining walls, land drains with drainage solutions, and perimeter fencing. We also constructed stadium steps to enhance accessibility. Our team handled over 260 tonnes of aggregate and 25 tonnes of triple screed soil, ensuring a solid foundation for the leisure space and new planting.

This was build at the same time as we were also renovating the inside of the property.

The finishing touch was the installation of 50mm luxury artificial grass, which provided an incredible and durable surface for the football pitch. Throughout the project, our logistical expertise ensured efficient waste management and the seamless operation of grab wagons, all while maintaining a clean and safe work environment within the residential area.

Despite the demanding timeline, we delivered a stunning leisure space that not only met but exceeded our client's expectations, creating a vibrant and functional outdoor area for relaxation and recreation.
